Hello? Well, if you didn’t know, Adele’s latest album, 25, dropped yesterday. Everybody’s anticipating this release, and even I have been for the past few years. While the tones may be different than on 21, and this album not really having the singles of old like Rolling in the Deep, it's going to be quite a length review. So sit tight and grab a hot coffee as you listen over and over again.
Justin has made some good decisions and bad decisions over his career, with the latter being the majority. I'm not one to criticize his actions but when news do surface about him, it's frankly a little hard to avoid considering they are everywhere. Still, we get a new album from what fans label as the “pop prince”. Is it actually a turning point or is it stale just as before?
After a few days of sinking in the album, I asked myself many times: does Ellie Goulding sell me as a great artist? Or does she stick out like a sore thumb? While the answers could be both, it’s not that hard to see why some people could end up on either sides of the spectrum. And after taking my sweet time with her latest release, Delirium, I’ve been struggling to find her place in music. Maybe I have, or maybe I haven’t after all.
