You ready to get this review started? Cause' I know I am. Music Video for My Life. Touted as the return of the legendary 50 Cent, it seemed this time he has collaborated with unlikely Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine and long-time best friend, Eminem. Starting off with the return of the former, 50 Cent has been renowned to the whole world. With little envisages with bringing The Game and Young Buck to fame, 50 Cent also spits his verse on his life, as probably guessed with it and also the falling out. However, that is not yet as he also, quotes: This is my recovery, my comeback kid. - 50 Cent And with that, the unlikely combination of the rap duo and pop singer was probably not what you'd expect... but somehow, it works. And 50 Cent, a fan of the platinum group Maroon 5 since the beginning (She Will Be Loved), was just as happy to include Adam Levine on the track with sensational effect on the hook. As we all know, Adam Levine has also been into it for other rap artists such as his own with Wiz Khalifa on Payphone. It seemed inevitable but surprising that Levine's addition was not just brilliant, but subtle and yet precisely humble. My life, my life, makes me wanna' runaway; there's no place to go-oh, no place to go-oh. All that confusion, it's an illusion, like a movie; got nowhere to go; nowhere to run and hide, no matter how hard I try. - Adam Levine On to our final conclusion is what everybody is waiting for: Eminem. The legend, rap king, masterpiece and a hard worker rejoins his best friend 50 Cent and shows us what the industry is really missing - him. Blasting a wide rap verse describing his struggles, he has yet enough to show as 50 Cent does enough to put Em in the pocket where Slim Shady becomes a kid's tale and a nightmare. 50 Cent has also stated that Eminem has also started on his new works, which could also mean additional proof that he is coming back and this song could well start off everything. However, a clueless part in Em's phrase left many others wondering why he had said what he said. Why did he? This is like a vicious cycle, my life's in a crisis; Christ, how was I supposed to know shit would turn up like it did?; Feels like I'm going psycho again and I might just blow my lid; Shit, I almost wish that I would have never made Recovery, kid; Cause I'm running in circles with my life - Eminem RATINGS:
ORIGINALITY: 9/10 - 50's return marks the backbone of the rap fluidity and the return of an era. There is nothing out there seemingly similar, nothing. SOUND: 9/10 - A powerful vocal mix of 50 Cent, Eminem and Adam Levine - what else can you get? LYRICS: 9/10 - Destruction, mayhem, running, avoiding, the verses have not been so tough and reasonable to my ears since now. OVERALL RATINGS: 27/30 - 50 Cent's return and also his new album, Street King Immortal might as well become a spectacular hit in fashion. My Playlist welcomes My Life as I'll be playing it for days. Don't get caught unaware!
