Classic P!nk is classic P!nk alright. Alicia Moore is back with her latest single off her upcoming album, The Truths About Love. BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS) is the song I'm going to be reviewing today. And as always, the link for the lyric video is below and you can watch it while you're reading my reviews.
P!nk's BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS) Lyric Video: Click here. Now it's been 4 years since P!nk released a full-length album. Greatest Hits... So Far wasn't an album, but more of a compilation, but who can forget the endless vibe caused by RAISE YOUR GLASS and PERFECT, with the former still one of my most played songs on my phone. Now that P!nk is back, let's get on with the review, shall we? I've always loved P!nk, since, well, not exactly day 1. But the past albums which contains hit singles are some of my favourites. BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS) which is a seriously long-title just by typing it, contains so much essence that the fans have all gained throughout her 12 years of music she has done. To be honest, when we say that she is surprising, talented and one of the best performers live, we tick all those boxes without even thinking. P!nk is one of the best in the business that has ever been, hands down. She directly shows in this track, the simplicity of the way she writes her lyrics and the direct impact just bangs. Although it differs from the above tracks from her compilation album, I always felt this was supposed to be different from anything and to re-capture her old songs vibe and to just give it really great push. And she's done it. The track has just managed to crack into the top 10 of Billboard at number 9 at the second week. Amazing. Anyways, back on the track, the catchy chorus also serves as a reminder to P!nk's ever-resounding powerful emotions the way she delivers it. She's been at it with different songs in these 12 years. SOBER, FUNHOUSE, SO WHAT, BRIDGE OF LIGHT. These songs just display the great talent P!nk has, and even with backing vocals and whatnot, she doesn't lip-sync. Thus, she's one of the best performers live. When it comes to originality, P!nk absolutely nails and kills it. She creates her own genre that is set apart and in between punk rock and pop. You can't just distaste her in a moment and then covet her with hugs the moment her next single is as awesome as her first. Because all her singles are as awesome as each other in a line-up. There is no distortion stopping that and you just can't choose easily. RATINGS: ORIGINALITY: 8/10 - As said above, P!nk nails this department. As far as it goes, P!nk really just shows everybody why she won't be forgotten for a long time and will continue to become an inspiration and hero to all of us. SOUND: 9/10 - The vibe has returned. I really felt it with this song. The way P!nk connects with her listeners is something that is also untouchable. LYRICS: 8/10 - Maybe I'm a bit biased here, but I felt that the lyrics could have been better, even though they are at it's very best. OVERALL: 25/10 - All in all, P!nk's BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS) is a true track to remind us of her talent. With harmonic tunes and the dispatch of epic-vocals in this track, it's a top-notch record we're all predicting. For this, I believe that it is and will be a 'Chart-topper'. On my ratings, I believe that I will be 'Playing It For Days', and you can count on it.
